CO Book Awards-Oct. 18 at DCPA

Come meet more than 25 Colorado authors at the 15th Annual Colorado Book Awards, Wed, October 18th starting at 5:30 p.m. at the DCPA.

Tickets are $65 through October 17 and $75 the day of the event.

Best selling mystery writer Margaret Coel, author of the Wind River mystery series, will be on hand as will be Denise Vega, author of the Young Adult novel---"Click Here: To Find Out How I Survived Seventh Grade."

Among other authors attending are: Nick Arvin ( Articles of War), Pam Houston
( Sight Hound), Laura Pritchett ( Sky Bridge), poets Aaron Anstett, Ida Fasel, Jane Hilberry, David Keplinger, and Sheryl Luna and photographers John Ninnemann and Jim Steinberg and many others.

Join us as e-town radio program host Nick Forster emcees the Awards featuring a musical performance by Nick Urata, lead singer for the nationally acclaimed indie rock band DeVotchKa based in Denver. Also, Denver Mayor Hickenlooper will drop by to honor our author finalists. All guests receive a free book from an Author Finalist, and a chance to bid on Frontier Airlines tickets or a literary gift basket with Colorado author mementos.

Come honor some of Colorado's best authors, poets, photographers and others who make our state a literary center of the West.
