Save the date for this year's headlining act, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, at the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo concert on Saturday, Aug. 11 at approximately 9 p.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds and Events Center, 500 Fairgrounds Dr.
Families, country fans and anyone looking for some fun on a Saturday should come out to the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo for the day's events and end the day with this act that will provide music from more than 30 albums. This year marks the 40 th anniversary since the band began in 1967 with "Nitty Gritty Dirt Band" and "Ricochet" LPs.
The album "Will the Circle be Unbroken II" resulted in three Grammy awards, as well as the Country Music Association's
Album of the Year award. Grammy award-winning singles include "Bless the Broken Road" and "Earl's Breakdown." Number one singles include, "Fishin' in the Dark" and "Long Hard Road." Other popular singles are "Mr. Bojangles," "Make a Little Magic" and "Baby's Got a Hold on Me."
