The dog-doting public is invited to take tea with rescue dogs at the 5th Annual TEA and Networking Event for The Misha May Foundation on Friday, June 1, at 6:30 p.m. Misha May is a metro Denver rescue that specializes in mutts and hard-to-place dogs. The TEA (Training-Education-Action) will be held at the Washington Park United Methodist Church at 1944 East Arizona Ave.
Advance admission ($40/person, $70/couple or family) may be paid by May 30 through www.mishamayfoundation.org or by check mailed by May 20 to Misha May, POB 151166, Lakewood, CO 80215-1166. Admission at the door is $50/person and $90/couple or family. The fundraising event includes dinner, a slide show presentation, party favors, live and silent auctions, a grand prize and a networking table for business cards. There also will be an Animal Healing Ceremony. For more information, call Lorraine May at 303.239.0382.
Misha May is dedicated to preventing the euthanasia of neglected and untrained homeless dogs through affordable training. The group routinely patrols local shelters for dogs whose time is running out. Misha May relies exclusively on volunteers to foster and adopt all rescued dogs as well as organize fundraisers. Eventually the group hopes to have a year-round sanctuary, training and adoption facility. Tax-deductible donations or interest-free loans to fund the facility may be made through the website or by mailing a check to the foundation.
