Registration Opens for DDRC Harvest Festival Run

By Stan Dyer

It's not too early to start planning for northwest Denver's premier five-mile event. The Developmental Disabilities Resource Center opened registration for its annual Bolder Boulder qualifying race and early birds save big money.

You have to hurry, but, if you register by June 15, the fee is only $15. Also, families with two adults and any number of children can register the entire family for just $40. Registration includes entry in the race, a long sleeve t-shirt, a pancake breakfast, and the opportunity to help the DDRC help our community. The annual event held during the Arvada Harvest Festival helps the award winning non-profit organization fund its programs and all money stays in the state.

This year's race will take place Sunday, September 9 at the Garrison Sports Complex at 58 th and Garrison, (Ralston Road and Garrison), in Arvada. With plenty of free parking close to the registration area, same day registration and packet pick-up begins at 6:30 a.m. The five-mile event begins at 8:00 a.m. with the top finishers sharing $400 in cash prizes. There is also a family three-mile run/walk, which begins at 9:00.

To register, go to www.ddrcco.com, www.active.com, or pick up the form at DDRC, 11177 W. 8 th Avenue, Lakewood, CO. If you need more information, email harvestrun@ddrcco.com, or phone either Rick or Ron at 303-233-3363. We'll look forward to seeing you there!
