Would you like to work with Fire Fighters teaching valuable life safety lessons to kids? If so, West Metro Fire Rescue has the perfect event for you! On June 14, West Metro is hosting the 14th Annual Family Fire Muster. Last year, over 200 volunteers to worked with 10,000 participants. Please consider joining our team of dedicated volunteers at this year's event.
The Fire Muster is West Metro's biggest event of the year. It is focused toward elementary age children and their families. Through over 13 hands-on activities, they have the opportunity to learn important safety lessons. Some of these messages include: Stop, Drop, and Roll; Tools Not Toys; Dial 9-1-1; and Swim with a Buddy. We need dependable individuals, ages 12 and up, who are interested in helping with these activity stations.
Volunteers will need to be available on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood. We will provide and event shirt, hat, lunch, and a gift to all event volunteers. For more information, please visit
