Sunrise Senior Living and Memory Bridging continue their
Mindful Aging series with the next episode in this
free, informative program on how to help ourselves and those we love through our senior stages of life.
Being a caregiver is often a rich and loving experience, but sometimes it can feel overwhelming and isolating. The next episode
"Who to turn to when you need help, Geriatric Care Management" will introduce important resources that can help when home or self-care has presented more challenges than you can handle.
In those times when you don't know what your next steps should be, or when you don't know where to turn, a Professional Geriatric Care Manager can provide you with the planning, counseling, support and referrals that you need, including:
· Care-planning assessments and solutions.
· Monitor in-home help or other services.
· Financial, legal, or medical issue reviews and referrals.
· Crisis intervention.
· Relocation assistance.
· Consumer education and advocacy.
On
Wednesday, November 14, Gordon Wolfe, owner and director of
Human Network Systems, Inc. and Chris Reifenrath, Professional Geriatric Care Manager will lead you through an exploration of what Geriatric Care Management is, what the Professional Care Manager can do, and what to look for in hiring a care manager.
The session will be hosted at Brighton Gardens of Lakewood (
12791 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood CO) at
6:30 pm and is open to the public. Please call Charlene at 303-237-5700 to RSVP or for directions.
