Free kindergarten in Englewood
Contributed by: Englewood Public Schools on 5/9/2008

Englewood Schools will provide free full-day kindergarten, beginning with the 2008-2009 school year. Students who have attained the age of 5 by September 15, 2008, are eligible for kindergarten. THIS IS AT NO COST TO THE STUDENT.

Many families find half-day kindergarten programs inconvenient and insufficient to meet their child's needs. The Englewood Board of Education decided to fund full-day kindergarten to better serve the community. Englewood is pleased to provide this opportunity to all children. Englewood School District families will be accommodated with out-of-district students being accepted on a space available basis.

Full-day kindergarten will be available at the district's five elementary schools:

Bishop 3100 S. Elati, 303-761-1496

Hay 3195 S. Lafayette 303-761-2433

Cherrelyn 4500 S. Lincoln 303-761-1498

Clayton 4600 S. Fox 303-781-7831

Maddox 700 W. Mansfield 303-761-2331

To enroll your student, please call the school to make an appointment. You must bring with you your child's birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of residence. Enroll at the school of your choice now through June 6, 2008.
