SOUTHEAST BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP TO HOST FIRST SENATORIAL DEBATE

CONGRESSMAN MARK UDALL (D) AND FORMER CONGRESSMAN BOB SCHAFFER (R)

ENGLEWOOD, June 11, 2008 - A little over one month ago Congressman Mark Udall (D) and Former Congressman Bob Schaffer (R) met on stage at the Southeast Business Partnership's (SEBP's) Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon but it was not to debate. However, the SEBP is pleased to announce they will be hosting the first Senatorial debate on Monday, July 14, at the Wildlife Experience ( 10035 South Peoria) from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Channel 9 News Anchor, Adam Schrager, will be the moderator. Mary Bowers, vice president of the Southeast Business Partnership, expressed her enthusiasm by stating: "this debate marks the beginning of an exciting Senatorial race, and allows these two exceptional leaders the opportunity to voice their opinions, and state their positions, on the future of Colorado."

This debate will be open to the general public and seating will begin at 9:30 a.m. Please contact either the Udall Campaign (303-820-2008) or the Schaffer Campaign (720-377-1600) for tickets.
