Does your dog jump on people?
Does your dog lunge when he is on the leash?
Does your dog bark or growl at bikes, cars, people or dogs?
If so, you will want to attend the Englewood City Council public hearing on February 5.
Most of the announcements concerning this hearing have been titled "vicious dog" ...when in fact, this ordinance covers all aspects of dog/cat laws for Englewood.
Vaccine requirements, cruelity to animals, tags, spay/nueter, and number of animals permitted are all mentioned in this proposal.
The definations are somewhat confusing....
It seems that if your dog barks or growls ...that could be considered an attack.
The meeting will be held at the Englewood Civic Center, 2nd floor Council Chambers 1000 Englewood Pkwy. on Feb. 5th at 7:30pm.
Please look at the proposal at www.englewoodgov.org
There will be a sign up sheet at the doorif you wish to speak.
The council members have stated that they would love to hear from citizens of Englewood on this matter.
As of right now, more people from other cities have spoken at the meetings.
Let's come together and show Englewood City Council that the citizens want fair legislation regarding dogs and cats.
