Lauren's Pet Place: The tabby
Contributed by: Sandi McMillen on 6/5/2007

My name is Lauren. Welcome to my corner -- I will be starting a corner about pets.

If you want to email me a picture of your pet for Pets of the Week, you are welcome to send it along to kingstonfigero@gmail.com. The bigger the picture the better. Also, if you have a lost pet you can email me a picture of it. Again, the bigger the better.

Breed of the week: The Tabby

The tabby is a great cat. There are different patterns of the tabby. For instance: the classic, the mackerel, the ticked and the spotted. Also, there is the patched pattern. There are many patterns of the patched pattern including the blue tabby, the chestnut tabby, the cinnamon tabby, the fawn tabby, the lavender tabby, the silver tabby and as in the picture above, the red tabby. Also, with these breeds are many others.

Now let me tell about when some of the patterns were described. First, the mackerel's were described. They had dark lines all over them. Second, the classic's were described. They had lines just like the mackerel's except they were a bit darker and soon the classic had special markings of there own. All in all, if you love animals, the tabby is for you.

Lost Pets

As in the letter above, you may e-mail me a picture of your pet if it is lost. And always remember, the bigger the better! Include a description of when and where your pet was last seen.
