Home at last

Roxy, the box turtle who had been missing for over two weeks, has been found safe and sound.

It seems that a pair of good Samaritans driving down Logan Street in Englewood found Roxy in the middle of the street. The pair stopped traffic to save the wayward reptile.

Unaware Roxy's home was nearby, the two took her to their home in Castle Rock, where they kept her in a cage and fed him peaches.

A friend of the pair saw the lost turtle story in YourHub.com and alerted them to the notice. After a brief phone call, Roxy was returned home on Aug. 1. The pair refused a reward, but did accept a little gas money for their ride home.

The Large family cleaned-up Roxy and he quickly went to his favorites spot in his habitat and slept for several days, happy to be home.

Traci, Justin, River and Ty Large would like to thank the entire Englewood community and YourHub.com for their support over the last few weeks. The response was overwhelming.
