Found money in Vegas, when most people lose theirs

Viva, Las Vegas! The King's song was stuck in my head before even leaving the driveway! I sang it all the way to the airport (and really not remembering all of the words) but did the best I could. A group of my family members, including two of my sisters, were meeting in Las Vegas years ago and I was so excited!
I don't know why or how I had a special knack for "finding" coins left in the slot machine trays (back when the machines used coins, not vouchers!). It was the thrill of the hunt that I craved, going up and down the rows of machines until I'd spy a quarter or a nickel, or maybe a few credits left on a machine if I was lucky. I'd always feed the machine with my own money, too, just in case the security folks were watching and thought I was doing something unethical.
Well, it was very late at night; the casino was getting pretty empty; and I saw an unattended bucket of coins between two machines! Someone who had too much to drink probably forgot it! I hung out there for a while, playing a nearby machine while keeping an eye on the magic bucket! I was getting so nervous and excited, thinking that I just found my own "jackpot" and after quite a while, no one claimed it! Soof course I nonchalantly picked it up, played a few coins, carried it around and quickly high-tailed it up to my hotel room to share the news with my sister!
I dumped out the bucket on the bed and discovered more than a hundred dollars in dollar coins! I was scared to death that the casino security staff was watching me on their cameras, and that they were going to come knock on the door and arrest me! I hurriedly changed my clothes, pulled my hair back in a pony-tail, took out my contact lenses and put on glasses, and tried to disguise myself the best I could.
I rounded up a few more family members and said, "Let's go spend this money I found and we'll split it!" Oh boy, I was so sure I was being watched and was shakey and jittery! Needless to say, we didn't hit any jackpots with the "found" money, but my family still teases me years later about my adventure and disguise!
I also just had my first experience with the Blue Man Group this past summer, in Las Vegas for my nephew's wedding on 7/7/07 (luckiest day of the century!). My daughter,
Kayla
, bought us tickets for the show for my college graduation present as we both just graduated with Bachelor degrees in May. I had a blast and would love to see them again, either here in Denver or if I'm lucky enough to win the trip to Vegas! After all, I was lucky enough to find a whole bucket of money once....why not winning a trip back to the scene of the "crime?"

Elvis
