The Adoption Alliance is one of the hardest working non-profit organizations within the metro Denver area. They have a small, but very dedicated staff that is committed to helping children and families grow. They've been below the radar, and many people didn't even know they existed. But they pack a mighty punch when it comes to helping kids and families. The Adoption Alliance is a licensed, non-profit, non-denominational agency that was founded in 1989 to serve needy children throughout the world. Their mission is to find safe, loving, permanent homes for children.
They place children of any race, color, or national or ethnic origin. They serve families without discrimination on the basis of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race, color or ethnic origin.
They are members of the Child Welfare League of America, the joint Council on International Children's Services, and the Colorado Association of Family and Children's Agencies. They achieved national accreditation through the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children in the Fall of 2000.
There are more than 700 children in Colorado that need a home! Permanent placement is ideal but foster care is also an option. They need community support, via donations, sponsorships, volunteer time, and more. They help with domestic and international adoption, foster care and pregnancy support and counseling. On September 30th, they held a fundraising event that raised more than $30,000. They had a silent & live auction, entertainment provided by the Hamilton Middle School's band along with music teacher Mr. Nitta, and almost 200 people in attendance to support the organization at the CHAC Gallery on South Sante Fe Drive.
