For my brother Keith
Contributed by: Kerry Chandler on 11/3/2005

Editor's note: YourHub.com asked readers to tell us why they deserved to win a 15-person suite for an Avalanche game in January. Here's what one person had to say. The winner will be announced in December.

Many years ago, my brother Keith Chandler had season tickets to the Avalanche and is a huge Avalanche fan.  Keith would always invite not only me, but others to come to games without wanting any money for the tickets, his philosophy was that all his tickets had to be used, and if he couldn't sell them, he would give them to someone.  One of the games I was able to go to, included Game 7 when the Avalanche won the Stanley cup with Ray Bourque.  He has also given me tickets to the Mammoth and paid for me to go golfing occasionally.  He has since fallen on hard times and cannot afford the Avalanche season tickets anymore, he purchased a house with his fiancee as his 2 bedroom townhome was not big enough for him, his fiancee and her 3 children, he rents to people and they come and go, when the townhome is empty, Keith has to pay the mortgage on top of the house payment.  Keith has never asked for anything in return for his kindness and is now working 3 jobs to be able to keep current on the bills.  I cannot help him financially, and this will allow me to give something back to him, instead of just saying thank you.
