I am so tired of the Denver Broncos never getting any credit. All they have done is be the most consistent team in the NFL all season long. It seems like the national media never recognizes their accomplishments, even when we were the ones going 13-0 in 1998. But you know what, the difference is we won the Super Bowl, unlike another team that was at one time being considered "the greatest ever" just four weeks ago. All of that doesn't matter because every player on this team knows how good they are. Their quiet confidence can be seen by the way they carry themselves on and off of the field. They are a true TEAM in this era of ME-FIRST and MONEY-HUNGRY players. No one player is bigger than the team and its ultimate goal. It is a special group that will always be there to have each other's back and wont let each other lose.
I remember growing up and just being in awe every time I watched a Bronco game. Even at an early age, the Denver Broncos became a part of my life. I know it is just a game, which people often remind me, but to me it goes beyond that. I grew up as an only child with a single mother. I didn't have the dad to go throw the ball with when I was younger. What I did have was the Broncos every Sunday on my television. I would watch every game about five feet from the TV, never missing a single play. I would usually watch them by myself so no one would bother me. I looked up to these guys as role models, and could name them all by number. One guy stood out more than anyone. #7. He became my hero, and he was a big part of my life as I grew up. I had so many of his posters that you couldn't even see any white on my wall. I needed something like that to look up to and look forward to. I have grown and have kids of my own now, but the passion has stayed the same. To me it is more than a game, as it is for so many fans in Colorado. Invesco Field (still weird to say) will be "a mile high" on Sunday. The Broncos mean so much to this state. They are a big part of a lot of people's lives. The crowd is going to show Pittsburgh something they have never seen before, and the Broncos are going to feed off of it and ride to victory. Even if they get down, all they have to do is look around them and see the greatest fans in the world firing them back up. It would be such a thrill if I was able to help lead them to victory!
