Contributed by: DU Athletic Dept. on 1/9/2006

University of Denver diver Aaron Feight, from Littleton, and swimmers Nathan West, from Englewood, and Karen Iverson, from Littleton, were named Sun Belt Conference Performers of the Week Jan. 4. It is the fifth honor this season for Feight, and is the first honor each for West and Iverson. This isy the first time in Denver school history and Sun Belt Conference history that one school has swept the awards since men's swimming and diving became a conference sport in 2004. (DU diver Hannah Duckett, of Magnolia, Tex., was also named a Performer of the Week.)

Feight, a freshman who attended Arapahoe High School, plans to attend the Olympic Trials in 2008 and hopes to compete in the Beijing Olympics. West is a sophomore who attended Cherry Creek High School and hopes to major in criminology and aspires to get into police work. Iverson, a sophomore who attended Columbine High School, hopes to go into international business after graduation.
