Dartmouth junior back Lucas Richardson (Englewood, Colo.) has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week in men's soccer after he scored the only goal in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Yale, and keyed a defense that pitched back-to-back shutouts against Oneonta State and the Bulldogs this past week. Richardson played for Cherry Creek High School.
The Big Green allowed just one shot on goal in each of the victories to extend its unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2). Dartmouth, one of three teams undefeated in League play, has won five straight and allowed just two goals over that span. Both of Richardson's goals this season have been gamewinners.
