A hole-in-one will win a lucky golfer $10,000 toward a new Chevrolet at the 8th Annual Golf Tournament of Englewood Rotary at The Inverness Golf Club. A round of golf on a great course will benefit Rotary's many charitable causes.
The tournament will be Tuesday, Sept. 15, and the public is invited to play.
Inverness' Preston Maxwell course is a par-70, 7,026 yard PGA championship course and is ranked among Colorado's finest golf resorts.
A major feature this year will be a hole-in-one contest with a winner receiving $10,000 toward a car from the premier auto broker H. M. Brown & Associates of Centennial.
The cost of a great day at Inverness will be $160 per golfer, or $620 for a foursome. A variety of sponsorship packages is available. Sponsoring a hole, with signage at the hole, is $300.
Registration for the tournament will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 7:30. A continental breakfast will be provided. Following the tournament golfers will enjoy lunch, prize awards and a silent auction.
Proceeds from the golf tournment will go to the Englewood Rotary Foundation which supports more than 20 charitable causes. Englewood Rotary provides major support for Inter-Faith Community Services, the largest nonprofit social service agency serving western Arapahoe County and northern Douglas County. Englewood Rotary also awards $6,000 or more a year in scholarships to graduates of Englewood High School. Internationally, the club is involved in projects in Bangladesh, Senegal and Kenya.
