Chinese Silk Program
Contributed by: High Plains Library District on 6/19/2008

What:
The Erie Community Library, 400 Powers St., will offer Silk Painting for teens on Thursday, July 10, at 2 pm . Silk painting is a beautiful, ancient tradition that began in the east. The Japanese and Chinese used paintbrushes to apply paint to their kimonos and other clothing. It is used today to enhance furniture, wall hangings, and clothing. Come join us and give it a try.
