Collectible Craze in Europe is now here in the US
Contributed by: Shirley Kuhloie on 8/7/2007

After 27 years in executive management, local Highlands Ranch business woman has started her own company. The company is 3 Sassy Mamas, LLC.
The company designed 18 adorable characters we call ZikityKins (tm). Our business idea developed during a trip to Europe. We saw, hanging in various street markets, characters made out of wood and suspended from springs. We learned from talking to the locals that they were a collectible craze in Europe. When we returned, we decided we wanted to introduce them to consumers in the United States. After many months of market research and approval from the trademark office, we were ready to go into business. We set out to find a manufacturer in China that would take our own designs and hand make and hand paint our very own ZikityKins.
The finished products were shipped to us in Highlands Ranch, CO earlier this year. They are finally being sold in the U.S. marketplace and are wonderful collectibles that will certainly put a smile on your face. A creative relative, Dianne Gasch from Minnesota, wrote a fun short story about 6 of the characters, in a book called "The Misadventures of ZikityKins in the Snik Patch" which is sold separately.

We hired Design Tech Studios to build our web site, www.zikitykins.com, we have set up retailers in Colorado to sell them , and we have just launched our sales partnership with Amazon.com.
