Erie Community Center Groundbreaking Ceremony

WHO: Mayor Andrew Moore and the Town of Erie Board of
Trustees, Town Administrator Mike Acimovic, Town staff,
Community Center Ad Hoc Committee, Erie Seniors, Barker
Rinker Seacat Architecture, and Saunders Construction Inc.

WHAT: Groundbreaking ceremony for the Erie Community
Center.

WHERE: Erie Community Center site located at the northeast
corner of Leon A. Wurl Parkway and County Line Road - Erie,
CO. PARKING - Parking available along outside lanes of
Leon A. Wurl Parkway east of County Line Road. Look for
drop off area on the east side of the parkway for those
needing assistance.

WHEN: 12:00pm Friday, November 17, 2006.

BACKGROUND: The approximately 63,000 square foot $16.8
million dollar community center will include a dedicated
senior citizens area, modern cardio and weight training
facility, aquatics center, large gymnasium, and aerobics
room. Construction is scheduled for completion in late
December of 2007. Please visit http://www.erieco.gov to
view site and design plans for the Erie Community Center
and to view Mayor Moore's comments about the Erie Community
Center as they appear in the November/December Erie
Edition.

Key project staff will be available for comment after the
ceremony.
