Christmas tree recycling starts
Contributed by: Town of Erie on 12/28/2006

The Town of Erie Parks Department will conduct their annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program beginning December 26th.

Residents may drop off trees for recycling at Coal CreekPark located at the intersection of Cheesman and Wells in Old Town. The designated drop off area is located in the north parking lot and will be clearly marked.

Trees will be accepted through January 14, 2007. Please make sure all ornaments and tinsel have been removed from your tree.

The Parks Department will mulch the trees and leave the mulch on site for the public to remove and use free of charge, on a first come first served basis through February 5th.

For more information, please contact Parks Superintendent Ron Fletcher at 303-926-2887.
