Town needs volunteers for concert series
Contributed by: YourHub.com on 7/8/2005

With the Town of Erie’s concert in the Park Series just weeks away, town officials are hoping that citizens step forward to help make the events exciting and successful for the entire town.

“As we gear up for this exciting inaugural event, we are putting out the call for volunteers,” said Fred Diehl, assistant to the town manager.

All the concerts will be held at Coal Creek Park between Cheesman and Kattell streets in historic downtown Erie. Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to contact Flatirons Event Management, the event coordinator for the concerts at: 303-530-1780 or by email: plans@great-events.com.

The concerts run from 5 to 9 p.m. with free admission. The schedule is:

  • Saturday, August 6: Hazel Miller Band - Denver's favorite Diva performs blues, jazz, pop and gospel.

  • Saturday, August 13: The Fab 4 - Colorado’s premiere Beatles tribute band. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!

  • Saturday, August 20: Boogie Machine - "Shake your groove thang" with the ultimate LIVE disco dance band.

  • Saturday, August 27: The Legendary Nikators - Musical legends perform the best of the 60's, 70's and Motown.
