Baked Beans and Pineapple Recipe

1 Cup Onion
1 Tablespoon Oil
19- oz. can pork and beans
14- oz. can red kidney beans
1 Cup crushed pineapple
1/3 Cup. Ketchup
1 teaspoon prepared Mustard
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon bacon bits
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper

Saute onions in oil. Mix other ingredients in the order given. Bake, uncovered, at 350* for 90 minutes. (1 + 1/2 hours).

Aunt Anna Poore's recipe version has hard-boiled eggs and chopped fresh celery in it, as I go for my 3rd helpings when visiting over the Alton High School reunion Banquet. My mother's 40th would have been this year. I met some of her former classmates. "Even though she lived in Osborne, she had never really left Alton."
