$25 Billion for GM.
GM is a dinosaur. It is the Selectric®. It is
eight-track tape.
It is like those old volcanoes whose main cone is extinct but which still throw off little cones from the side of the mountain.
One little cone from GM was Saturn, and that seems to be going extinct in its own turn.
Another is the Volt. That may be the last legacy of Early 20th Century Capitalism, the sale of that intellectual property at GM's bankruptcy auction.
But $25B now? In three months they'll need $25B more. Is GM going to come back in three months? Would
you like to bet on that slim chance with
your money?
