From the mountains to 6th Avenue
Many Evergreeners commute. It's been described as a commuter community. Accurate. So there is an etiquette to commuting. The first rule: Leave early. Even if you depart for a 9 to five job at 6:30 a.m., you will not be alone. If you like being alone on the highway, go to Montana. The second rule: Leave early If you don't get off til 5 p.m., take a book on tape, because you will be sitting in traffic near Federal and 6th, and entertainment of any kind is helpful. There are polite drivers, like me, who let others sneak in, especially in merge lanes. I try. You probably do too. The one thing I have decided that will not happen to me is that I will not be mangled in a car wreck on 6th Avenue or I-70 in either direction. What do you do to keep this promise to yourself?

I went to the Denver Museum of Science and Nature to see the blockbuster show called Body Worlds 2

It was quite a thriller.
But I guess I am just a spoiled country girl who has a hard time getting out in the city, because the crowd made me just a little
crazy.
There were so many people there. I felt sorry for the workers who had the task of cattle driving the herds from one roped off area to the next. They weren't using prods or anything, but the message was real clear, follow the rules, stay in line, no food, but if you have a water bottle that's okay, and by all means go the bathroom NOW!
You will not be allowed to go to the bathroom once you are inside the exhibit.
Oh my goodness.
Did I feel threatened or what?

Okay, enough whining.
It was a fascinating show. My husband did not want to look at the lung display, because it was very clear what happens to that organ when you smoke, worse if you're a coal miner.
Now that was threatening.

, the creator of this plastination, that hardens arteries, nerves, veins organs, is very creative. I particularly like the drawer man. Visual and graphic at the same time.
