I still use postage stamps.
I still go to the Post Office, mainly to mail correspondence to my son and his wife, who are in Canada.
Overheard: A woman came in yesterday and spent $12,300 on Forever stamps. She bought 30,000 stamps.
Wow, I was impressed by that in some weird kind of way.
She has a business, so maybe they'll be used quickly.
The thing is, if she was going to actually save some money, and she has that
kind of cash, she surely could have invested that sum and made more than the
$300 someone calculated she saved by buying the stamps now.
I also heard the price of a first-class stamp is soon to rise, So I bought some too. I bought a sheet. Hey big spender.
Here's what the
Post Office says about the increase, coming soon to a neighborhood near you - May 12
