The digital temperature sign in front of Evergreen National Bank on Main Street said 1 degree this morning.
Just a lonely little digital numeral one in yellow on a big black sign.
Really.
It's lonely out here when it's this cold.
One degree.
Yes, it felt cold. And no we didn't have to wait long for the RTD bus to show up.
No it is not warm on buses that run from Evergreen to downtown Denver.
If I have to pick something to complain about, and that's only human nature, why pick something good to talk about when most people are more attracted to negative aspects of the human condition?
Anyway.
The view is obscured on these cold mornings.
Yes there are windows, big windows.
But if you want to see what's happening out there on the road or across the horizon, you have to do a condensation removal procedure.
I debated doing this.
How?
With my glove on of course.
But no, I changed my mind and thought, then my glove will be wet.
So I rode onin obscurity with all the other passengers across the white, drizzly, cold frozen landscape from the mountains to Sixth Avenue.
