Blog Entry 1 of 15 Libertarian Candidate Musings, Rants and Ravings
Musings, Rants and Ravings from the 2008 Libertarian Candidate for the district 25 seat in the Colorado House of Representatives.

Homeland security or nut-case mentality?
Contributed by: Jack Woehr   on 7/17/2008

Denver Water recently announced summarily to Summit County that it would close the Lake Dillon Dam Road to prevent an unspecified terrorist attack of an unspecified likelikhood about which they were warned by an unspecified agency.

To think that the Security Sickness has proceeded so far through our public life that the Denver Water folks could dream of closing a fire access road to the fire department without any preliminary consultations!

Well, of course! Some jackass on the East Coast with a long title like "Under-assistant Secretary for Threat Pre-Response Coordination" picked up the secure phone on his expensive walnut desk paid for with public funds and called Denver Water. Denver Water then dropped and gave 'em forty. Never mind what those yokels in Summit County might think -- DC is on the line!

But was it DC the capital of a Republic, or DC the purveyor of fantasy comic books?

You be the judge, and remember, VOTE LIBERTARIAN this year.
