Description:

The Winterfest Arts and Crafts Festival is a long-standing Evergreen tradition for holiday shoppers. The festival takes place at the EvergreenHigh School on November 14 th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (29300 Buffalo Park Road, just off Highway 73). The admission fee of two dollars, charged at the door (free for children and students with ID) supports the Center for the Arts Evergreen's year-round programming efforts.

Winterfest is expanding for 2009, adding even more artist vendors upstairs, truly making it a one-stop shopping haven to start off the holiday season. The festival features over 100 talented artisans displaying a variety of handcrafted items, including jewelry, sculpture, photography, glass and many other seasonal items such as hand-carved wooden Santa figures and handcrafted mittens. Winterfest has become Evergreen's premier event for the holidays!

Back by popular demand, the Santa's Workshop for children ages 3 to 10 will be hosted by the National Charity League. From 9:00am - 3:00pm. Children can stay and play in Santa's Workshop while parents shop for unique holiday gifts. $5 suggested donation.

Winterfest Arts Festival is produced by the Center for the Arts Evergreen, a nonprofit organization whose mission is "To promote and cultivate artistic excellence in the visual and performing arts in order to enrich the art experience in our mountain community." The Center fulfills its mission with such programs as Arts in the Schools; Art at the Lake; Paint, Sculpt, Shoot Evergreen; Brown Bag Luncheon Lecture Series; monthly art exhibitions in the Center's galleries; and providing a meeting place for other arts organizations like the Evergreen Artist Association and Arts for the Mountain Community. Proceeds from Winterfest go towards all of these endeavors.
