On Saturday, September8, 2007,children and families can live out their dreams of a day in the Old West at Mountain Area Land Trust's exciting new event, Conifer Tales & Trails cowboy poetry and music celebration. This inaugural event features several Western Music Association award winning entertainers, including headliner Brenn Hill, who was recently called the "new George Strait of Western music." Three concerts will be held at Conifer High School's 620-seat high school auditorium, and an Old West festival will take place at Diamond Sky Ranch in Conifer. VIPs will be pampered with entertainers at a dinner and post-event jam session in the Twisted Pines Pavilion at Meadow Creek Bed & Breakfast in Pine. Special attractions will include smokehouse barbeque meals, museum and historical exhibits, Cowboy and Cowgirl 101 workshops, auctions, vendors, dance lessons and demonstrations, trail and pony rides, and Old West activities for the whole family! Ticket prices for festival admission to both venues is $10 and $7 for youth ages 12 and under; matinee concert prices are $22.50 for adults and $17.50 for youth, and evening concerts are $38 for general admission.
