The Golden Visitors Center just received word that they have won 3rd Place in the Positive Promotions' Annual Volunteer Week Championship. They have entered five times and have won first, second or third in each attempt, setting "the gold standard" for Volunteer Week celebrations. The volunteers have visited the Golden Fire Department, Denver's Crime Lab, and toured many other destinations in and around Golden. The group of 60+ volunteers work to promote Golden to approximately 40,000 visitors a year.
