Konnor Propst, 13, of Evergreen was acknowledged by Kroenke Sports for his academic achievement, community service and participation in school activities.
According to his mother
Marci, he was elected by teacher
Chris Portaro, a home family and consumer sciences teacher at Evergreen Middle School.
Konnor's mom, said, "This is something the eighth-grade teachers do after having had the class for three years. They elect a student for this award out of a class of 250 and Kroenke Sports picks 12 out of 1,200 applications."
She said, "
Mark Randall came to the school and surprised Konnor on Jan. 16. On Jan. 18 he and his father went to an Avalanche practice, where Kroenke presented him with a poster signed by all the players. We went to a game Jan. 20 and got to watch it from a suite."
Konnor plays basketball on an eight-grade team and his dad,
Koger, is a coach.
