Tykes take a tour at Episcopal Church

The preschoolers in the Bears class were getting a tour of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration grounds May 5 in their Bye Bye Buggies.

School director Janet Reznik said, "I used to work at a program in Dallas and they had these. The church has several acres and we thought we have to get these so we can take the kids outside around the grounds."

The church has two of the Bye Bye Buggies and both were being used for the two year-olds.

Teacher Karen Schenk said "They're winding down and ready for lunch."

Reznik said the school still has openings for the 2009-10 school year, which runs from late August through May, and is accepting applications for children 12 months through pre-K.

Reznik said the school is a private nonprofit licensed facility with a staff that meets all state requirements.

"They also participate in ongoing professional development through staff meetings, workshops and conferences and are members of the National Association of Early Childhood Educators," Reznik said.

Preschool runs Monday through Thursday during the school year from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an option for after school care available. Two summer camp sessions will be held in June and July on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the option available for after school care until 5 p.m.
