Blue Spruce Market happenings


Blue Spruce Market in north Evergreen offers cooking parties classes and demonstrations for folks interested in food.

Chef Alex is knowledgeable and owners Seth and Carol Miller, are friendly.

On March 15 from 5:30-8:30 PMthey are offering a sampling of "Spring in Provence."


Carol Miller said, "The cuisine of France is beautifully varied with a great many regional differences based on the produce and gastronomy of each region. Culinary traditions that have been developed over the centuries have made French cooking a highly refined art. This is true of even the simplest peasant dishes, which require careful preparation and great attention to detail."

We will explore the southern region most famous for its cuisine, Provence. In doing so, we will work with, among other rarities, mussels, escargot and fresh figs. To accompany your meal, feel free to bring your own bottle of wine. Much like the French, we will spend a good deal of the evening thinking about, talking about and consuming food.
