SRC offers in-home care at no cost in foothills

Seniors' Resource Center is excited to announce the availability of In-Home Care Services free of charge to qualifying seniors ages 60+ in the foothills, courtesy of a limited-time grant from the Denver Regional Council of Governments.

The grant expires in June and funds may be used up sooner, so seniors living in West Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties must contact Seniors' Resource Center without delay at (303) 674-2843 to apply for free assistance in aging at home with dignity as long as possible.

"Before this generous funding quickly runs out, we urge interested and qualified seniors to immediately take advantage of this fabulous opportunity to receive needed services that can help them to stay independent and in their own home with quality care at no cost," said Jane Weinberger, Director of Seniors' Resource Center-Evergreen.

Caring and compassionate services funded through this grant can include meal preparation and cleanup, light housekeeping, linen changes, laundry, assistance with shopping and errands, and companionship activities.

All Seniors' Resource Center personal care providers pass a criminal background check and are professionally trained, supervised by a registered nurse, bonded and insured.

"In-Home Care Services through Seniors' Resource Center will preserve the livelihood of loved ones living independently in Evergreen and surrounding mountain communities, so it is vital that every senior in need capitalize on this funding right away," said John Zabawa, President/CEO.

Seniors' Resource Center-Evergreen, established in 1986 and known as the Yellow House, has assisted more than 3,000 older adults in the foothills over the past year to maximize their independence and personal dignity through centralized and coordinated service, information, education and leadership.
