Jeffco Dems Second Saturday legislative update

Join the Jefferson County Democrats for April's 2 nd Saturday Breakfast Forum on April 12th, 2008. Join us for a huge Legislature Town Hall at the American Legion at 16th and Simms, starting the social hour at 8:30am with breakfast for $10 at 9:00am. Presentation begins at 9:15am. Your state legislators will join us for a "Confab on the Capitol," along with Adrian Miller, Assistant Director of Governor Ritter's Legislative team. You'll get a summary from the legislature on:

* SB08-212 - The Education Reform Act of 2008
* The Blue Ribbon Commission on Health Care and associated legislation
* The Colorado State Long (Budget) Bill
* The ever moving Severance Tax issue
* Renewable Energy Initiatives
* The Jeffco Legislators take on prospective initiatives on the ballot for
the '08 general election

There will be a Colorado Capitol Watch legislative quiz, so get
prepared!

This will be a panel discussion with lots of Q/A. We have a great
deal of expertise among our legislators, and we're lucky that we can
call on their knowledge to build on ours. Please bring friends so
they can meet their outstanding legislators.

RSVP at Jeffco Dems: 303-237-1359.
