Love Letters tells the story of two childhood friends who begin a lifelong correspondence with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. This exchange of letters continues through the years, making it eloquently clear that although they are physically apart, these two friends are spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.
Husband-and-wife Len Matheo and Lisa DeCaro bring a wealth of experience to
Love Letters. Lisa received her BFA in acting from USC, and spent the following years as a "working actress" in L.A. She recently appeared on Center/Stage as Rosannah in
Brilliant Traces and Hedy LaRue in the Evergreen Chorale's production of
How toSucceed in Business without Really Trying. Other roles with the Players include Sylvia in
Sylvia and Lee in
Marvin's Room.
Len Matheo began his acting and directing career in New York City. After studying Theatre Arts at S.U.N.Y. New Paltz, he performed in many off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway productions, including the US Premiere of
The Hired Man and Horton Foote's
Blind Date.Len recently directed
Brilliant Traces and appeared as J.B. Biggley in
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. His roles with the Players include: Dan in
Down the Road, Captain Keller in
The Miracle Worker, Linus in
Sabrina, and Greg in
Sylvia.
