Evergreen Fire/Rescue striving to be forever green

Evergreen Fire/Rescue has implemented a recycling program at its main campus in Bergen Park. EFR personnel now are able to toss their empty water bottles and aluminum cans, read newspapers and used white paper into the trademark green bins.

"Recycling is the right thing to do," said EFR Community Educator Einar Jensen. "It's great for us and our ecosystems, now and into our future."

The green bins will be emptied twice each month by EDS, the firm currently conducting the agency's trash removal services.
