Last summer, more than 700 Denver metro-area residents took the Chill Pledge, promising to do their part to help reduce ground-level ozone pollution.
Ozone pollution is Denver's most pressing summer air quality issue. At high levels, ground-level ozone can be harmful to everyone - especially kids and older adults.
This year, with another hot summer on the horizon, we hope you'll
pledge to chill.
Chilling on hot summer days is simple. When the temperatures rise, just relax and avoid activities that can cause ozone pollution:
• Mow after 5 p.m. on hot summer days.
• Drive less, walk to lunch and run errands after work.
• Refuel your car after 5 p.m. and stop at the click.
Please spread the word and ask your friends to
chill! The more people who pledge, the easier we all can breathe this summer.
