What is the possibility of getting a red left-turn arrow?
My daughter was driving down the Colorado 74 hill with the green light. The car in the opposite direction with the two old farts ( I can say that because I am one too ) slowed down, Then started to make a left turn in front of her!
The result: ABS brakes and four warped discs later, she manged to stop inches away from the passenger side door!
The driver had FROZE when she saw the SUV bearing down on her! ( everyone involved needed to check their underwear later ). If the people behind my daughter hadn't been as alert as she was, there would have been a multiple car pileup with the passenger being a another fatality
I note that there have been multiple fatalities there this year. We used to have the same problem at 74/Stagecoach until a red arrow was added.
How many close calls and fatalities do we need before CDOT will make the change?
Inquiring minds want to know.
