Highland Haven 30th anniversary special

After being honored as 2008 Business of the Year by the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce, and in celebration of our 30th anniversary in 2009, the Highland Haven Creekside Inn would like to offer a big "thank you" to our beloved hometown of Evergreen. As such, we are offering a "Friday Night Special," during which anyone with an 80439 zip code can save $100 when booking one of the inn's seven premium accommodations. The special runs every Friday now through May 1st. The premium rooms are the Evergreen Suite, Fireside Loft, Gardener's Cottage, Hillside One and Two, and Blue Spruce One and Two.

We feel so fortunate to have worked and lived and grown our business and raised our children in this wonderful community. We hope our neighbors and friends will take advantage of this opportunity to experience first-hand the beauty, hospitality and romance we have worked so hard to achieve over the years.

In addition to our outstanding service and a delicious homemade breakfast, locals can treat themselves to our premium rooms' luxurious amenities -- including fireplaces, private decks, Jacuzzis, wet bars, flat-screen TVs, inviting king-size beds and plush robes - all for a very affordable price.

These last 30 years have been an incredible journey for our entire family. My husband, Tom Statzell, and I raised our children at the Highland Haven, and now our daughter, Roxy, and her husband, Blake Alexander, manage the inn. We have worked very hard to nurture our guests and our community, and to build a business of significance. We are truly proud of the recognition we've received over the years, most recently from www.iloveinns.com, which named the Highland Haven one of the Top 10 Most Romantic Inns of the Year for 2009. We were also honored as one of the nation's Top 10 Most Romantic Cottages by Sunset magazine and Best Bed and Breakfast by Mountain Living magazine.

In addition, USA Book News' National Best Books 2008 Awards named my book, Colorado Cravings, Recipes and Romance from the Award-Winning Highland Haven Creekside Inn, as a finalist in the general cookbook category.

Even though economic challenges dominate the headlines these days, we have found, thankfully, that people rarely skimp on romance. We have also found the "staycation" trend - mini-vacations close to home - to be gaining steam. With our Friday Night Special, we can offer our community the chance to enjoy a staycation, but not skimp on romance!
