Raffle to help Evergreen scholarship nonprofit
Contributed by: Kathleen Parrish on 8/31/2007

In 1945 a dedicated group of citizens fouded the Evergreen Scholarship Association. In 1946 they awarded 2 $150 scholarships. In 2006, thanks to the generosity of the Conifer/ Evergreen community, Evergreen Scholarships/Bootstraps Inc. awarded over $171,000 in the form of scholarships and no-interest loans to approximately 60 students from Conifer, Evergreen, Clear Creek and other area schools.

It is the rare student, in this time of rapidly escalating tuition that does not need some help acheiving their dream of a college education, and ESBI is committed to supporting our students in their pursuit of this important goal.

We are currently holding our second annual raffle to raise funds for next year's seniors. The grand prize is a 2007 Mini Cooper S with a 6 speed manual transmission and lots of extras.

This would be a great kid or grandkid car, or the perfect vehicle for running around town. We are also offering the fabulous second prizeof a trip fortwo with Grand Luxe Railway Journeys, America's premiere private train.

Only 750 tickets will be sold at $100 each and the drawing will be held on Sept. 25. For more information or to purchase tickets contact Barb 303-674-4733 or Fran 303-674-0693. Please buy a ticket and support our students. Thank you.
