By purchasing a $100 raffle ticket, you could win a 2007 Mini-Cooper S or a GrandLuxe Rail Journey for two valued at $13,500.

The raffle sponsored by Evergreen Scholarship/Bootstraps will be held at the Evergreen High School on Sept. 25. Selling only 750 tickets, this raffle is the major annual fundraiser for the non-profit group, which works to financially assist 2008 graduating students of the Evergreen and Conifer areas.

For over 60 years, Bootstraps has provided scholarships and interest free loans to qualified students in the Evergreen/Conifer area, most of whom attend colleges in Colorado. Bootstraps Co-President Barb Hadley stated, "Superior grades and community service are no longer exclusive qualifications that guarantee a senior will attend college. With the increasing cost of higher education in Colorado and elsewhere, parents are often prohibited from funding their deserving students' higher education. With Bootstraps, those deserving students can obtain the education they want."

In May 2007, Evergreen Scholarship/Bootstraps, Inc., awarded more than $171,000 to 29 Evergreen and 28 Conifer seniors.
