Two articles in the 1/17/08 YourHub--both relating to seat belts in Colorado--are
incorrect.

Colorado does not have a mandatory seat belt law for adults, that would enable an officer to pull a driver over for lack of wearing a seat belt. Karen Groves'
article expresses that ignorance.

But Drew Williams' article is really offensive, given that he is a "public information officer for Golden Police Department."

For you to publish his intentional dis information, along with public scare tactics
if really unforgivable. His writing is blatantly false, and you must retract his
statements. So officers are going to be pulling people over without any breaking
of the law! So much for the land of the free. And since people now are understandably confused over the law amidst all of the lies being perpetrated by "public information officers", they probably will accept a false ticket and pay an unjustified fine.

See Colorado publication at http://www.cotrip.org/faqs/restraintLaws.html for clarification
of the law as it stands, at least as of today.
