Evergreen Rodeo Parade a crowd pleaser
Contributed by: Karen Groves on 4/19/2006

The annual Evergreen Rodeo Parade drew a crowd to Main Street this year. Colorado Highway 74 in Evergreen was lined with cheerful spectators, who settled in lawn chairs along the route. The Hawaiian Luau theme was apparent in some of the specially designedfloats. There were even a few canine spectators who sported a lei for the event. The parade, which is followed by the rodeo at El Pinal Arena,is an effort sponsored by the Evergreen Rodeo Association andnumerous sponsors. The first Evergreen rodeo was held August 5, 1967.
