Young Evergreen artists learn about China

The Voyage through Art class at the Center for the Arts Evergreen was midway through a panda bear creation July 17.

Instructor Tanya Keith, of Evergreen, said, "We've structured the class around learning about China. We've also been studying Georgia O'Keefe and Southwestern artist Ted De Grazia.

The class of mostly 9-year-old students was in the middle of painting their clay panda bears.

A drawing and oil pastel class with instructor Debbie Kerr
July 21 through 25 for ages 11 to 13

Creatures and places class for campers ages post kindergarten to 9 years to create creatures from recycled materials. Instructor: Michael Wisniewski.

July 28 to Aug.1 is a mud slammers class for artists ages 10 to 13 to work in clay.
Instructor Will Mitchell.
