GRAFITTI SHOWS UP IN CONIFER
On Nov. 21 at 8:50 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 25700 block of Conifer Road in reference to criminal mischief. The building maintenance employee showed the deputy an interior wall of a public restroom that had been covered with grafitti. She said she was concerned it was gang related and wanted it photographed. She said at first that it had been there for one to two weeks, when the deputy asked why she took so long to report it she said she found it the day before. The deputy took photographs.
FORMER EMPLOYEE DOUBLE DIPS
On Oct. 17 at 12:30 p.m. a deputy spoke by phone to a woman in Evergreen about an incident she had with an employee at the Brook Forest Inn, 8136 S. Brook Forest Road. The woman said she paid a former employee his last payment in October and in early September he approached her and told her his check was lost and asked her to issue him another check as a replacement. Because she trusted him, the issued him a second check. While reconciling her statements, she discovered a discrepancy and determined the original check and the second check had been cashed. The woman said she was in contact with the former employee until recently when he stopped returning her calls. She said she did not want to pursue charges unless the man did not return the money owed. The deputy contacted the former employee who said he would make repayment of the funds. Arrangements were made for the man to make repayment in person while a deputy was present during the exchange.
WOMEN DISAGREE ON PHOTOS
On Nov. 22 at 5:08 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 4800 block of South Pine Road in Evergreen on a harassment call. A woman who said she was being harassed said she owns and lives on the property where she leases a cabin to another woman. She said there was an ongoing dispute between them about their lease agreement, but the reason she called was because the tenant took photographs of the property owner while she was outside washing her car and the property owner told her not to do that. The other woman laughed and said, "I'll do what I like." The deputy said no crime was committed but the incident would be documented. The deputy told the women they should contact a Jefferson County Sheriff's civil unit for assistance with civil issues.
CABLE BROKEN ON BRYANT DRIVE
On Nov. 23 at 4:03 p.m., a deputy went to Bryant Drive and Evergreen Parkway on a suspicious incident call. A property owner of a 100-plus acre property said he noticed a cable gate was broken. He said the 10-foot steel cable was attached to two trees across a road and had been snapped in half. The man said the adjacent property was owned by Evergreen Landscapes and said it looked like the backhoe on their property had graded the road up to the cable. he thought the backhoe caused the cable damage either intentionally or not. After speaking with a representative of Evergreen Landscapes, the man said he wanted the incident documented before he contacted the owners.
EVERGREEN STOP SIGN DEFACED
On Nov. 24 at 8:44 p.m., while on patrol on southbound Herzmann Drive at South Skyline Drive in Evergreen a deputy saw a stop sign at the intersection and noticed it had been defaced with spray paint. An unknown suspect had spray painted the sign. The deputy sent a case report to the crime prevention department.
