TOOLS THROWN IN WATER TANK
On Nov. 26 at 1:42 p.m., a deputy went to the 2300 block of Pebble Beach Drive in Evergreen and contacted a 60-year-old man who said at noon that day he came home he noticed a door open to his greenhouse. He saw that someone had taken some of his tools and counted two drills, a Skilsaw, a jig saw, Sawzall and impact driver missing. He said he had left the door unlocked and later found miscellaneous items from the greenhouse scattered around the property. He said, "Whoever broke into my greenhouse punched a hole in my water tank and threw most of the tools in the water." He asked his neighbor if she had seen anything and she said three teenage boys were there but had no idea where his things were. The man said he didn't have problems with the neighbors and had no idea who might have been responsible.
INTERLOCKEN DRIVE DAMAGE
On Nov. 26 at 9:32 a.m., a deputy contacted a 59-year-old man by phone, who said his driveway lamp on the 2700 block of Interlocken Drive in Evergreen was smashed by someone the previous night. He said he heard a noise at 11 p.m. the previous night. He said a neighbor's light was also damaged but they were out of town. The man said his mailbox had been vandalized several weeks ago, but he had not reported it. He requested extra patrol in his neighborhood.
WOMAN SUFFERS BURNS, DEPUTY SEIZES PIPE
On Nov. 26 at 7:20 p.m., a deputy went to the 7200 block of Aspen Meadow Drive in Evergreen to assist Elk Creek Fire Department. A 48-year-old woman had burned herself while cooking. While inside the residence, the deputy noticed a marijuana pipe, which he later seized. Because the woman had multi second-degree burns over her body and was transported to a hospital, she was not charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
DAMAGE DONE TO RTD STOP
On Nov. 30 at 9:52 a.m., a deputy on routine patrol near U.S. 285 near the Mountain View Park-n-ride observed damage at the bus stop shelter. All glass panes were smashed and the metal support beams which ran from the ground to the roof were broken at the base. A white substance had been used to write an obscenity on the glass enclosure used for posting announcements. A nearby bus bench was tipped over and the concrete legs were smashed. A telePhone receiver in the pay phone stall was smashed. RTD dispatch said they would inform their maintenance personnel.
DAD GOES TO JAIL ON ASSAULT
On Nov. 30 at 7:05 p.m., a deputy went to the 21700 block of Indian Springs Drive in Conifer. The deputy met two men at the entrance to a residence who said they were in town visiting their father. They visited their father's ex wife and got into an argument. Their father told them they could not retrieve property from his home. The sons thought their father was intoxicated and angry. When the deputies spoke to the father he was angry his sons "brought the police into this." He told the deputies his sons could retrieve their belongings but he wanted the deputies to leave. He said to the deputies, "We're done unless you go away." He told the deputies to get off his property and asked if this was a "Police state." He yelled at his sons for calling the police and made a fist. He pushed one of his sons. The deputies left but returned to arrest the father. The man said, "now you're going to take me to jail because I pushed something into my son's chest a little harder than what you liked." The man was booked for third-degree assault
MISUNDERSTANDING ON RENTAL TERM
On Dec. 1 at 8:04 a.m., a deputy went to the 29300 block of Industrial Way in Evergreen on a disturbance. The manager of the storage units said a woman had rented a moving truck from the establishment and it was supposed to be returned by 9 p.m. Nov. 30. He called the woman and told her it needed to be returned or she would be charged a $50 per hour fine. The 37-year old woman's 34-year old friend said he had a problem with the way the woman was being treated by the storage unit manager. He told the deputy the manager got in his face and hit him, then said the confrontation was verbal only. The woman said she misunderstood the rental truck agreement and thought she could return it in the morning.
