Contributed by: YourHub.com on 1/5/2009

FUEL DRIVE OFF IN CONIFER On Dec. 22 at 12:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 3100 block of Evergreen Parkway in reference to a fuel theft from the Wilco Gas Station. The reporting party said the car was a white Toyota with Colorado plates. He said the driver pulled up to pump No. 3. The employee said he thought he recognized the man as someone who had purchased gas there before so he authorized the gas pump, but noticed the mand did not come inside as it was pulling away from the pump. He said the driver didn't appear to be in a hurry and thought maybe the suspect forgot to pay. He described the man as a middle-aged with long gray hair. The deputy searched the area but did not find any matching vehicles. MYSTERY SURROUNDS TOILET HANDLE On Dec. 18 at 8:56 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Aspen Park Village Center, 25797 Conifer road. He contacted the property manager who said one of her tenants called her saying the bathroom toilet handle was off the toilet by the pet store in the foyer. The foyer is left unlocked to patrons of StageDoor Theater can use them. The deputy examined the handle, which looked like it had fallen off. The manager said the manufacturer told her they don't just fall off and that an unknown murder suspect in Aspen park was coming into the building at night breaking things, but she didn't know who it was. She said she thought the suspect had keys. The deputy noted the woman was bouncing back and forth on other issues. He advised her to tell her tenants if they saw something suspicious to call the sheriff's department and they would respond.

COMPUTER STOLEN, NO SUSPECTS On Dec. 22 at 7:17 a.m. a deputy responded to a burglary call on the 8100 block of South Brook Forest Road in Evergreen. The resident said he left for work on Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. and returned Dec. 20 at 6 a.m. He said his computer was gone and discovered knives liquor and DVDs were also missing. He said he thought the suspect entered through the front door because it doesn't have a dead bolt/ There was no damage to the door. The man said two people had keys to the apartment, his girlfriend and his son and he didn't think they had any reason to steal his things. He had spoken to both of them and they had not been there.
